Drawings of Captain Amorf
I had to skip two session, but from yesterday I am back in the school again. Yesterday it was Portrait, we drew the same lady who is usually the model for the figure drawing sessions. It turned out OK, but I put too much black to the background. Today’s drawing (naked guy) was poop… I have to be more focused tomorrow.
The pose was the same as yesterday, but everybody could choose how to draw the model. I did the same thing as yesterday, but this time I could draw the “low poly” version very quickly, so based on that I made a proper drawing too. This low poly stuff helps a lot.This is the future!
The model was lying next to this furniture, and we had to draw the structure, as simply as we could. Like a super low poly model. It was very hard, and lot of fun. It reminded me to my favourite iPhone game Zen Bondage. It didn’t turn out perfect but it was very instructive. I want to draw more like this!
Today was very hard. First of all I wasn’t really in the mood, the teacher came in very upset and annoyed. Man he is very not simple. The model was late. So It was portrait day, and the model was the same hunchback I already drew few times. I got rid of my first drawing, because the composition was bad, so I thought I will start it from scratch. In the second hour I was focusing on the composition, and the whole drawing became shit. I have an problem, and the teacher realised it too already hahah, that I am bullshitting when I am drawing. So I have good rendering skills, but I have no idea of structure, and I don’t know what is REALLY going on, so I just draw something. And yes the drawing became poop, because nothing was in the right place. So I started a new in the last hour, but this time I tried to focus on the structure, a little bit like a wireframe something. It turned out so much better. So what I have to do (following the teacher advice) is not focus on what I already know, but focus on what I don’t know.

First painting day. There is no model on mondays only prints of a famous painter. Today it was Egon Schiele. Evereybody can choose a print, and paint something based on that. It turned out that the teacher wants everybody to use the picture only as inspiration. Well I didn’t know this, so I just tried to copy it. I have never painted in my life, and it is very strange. No eraser, no undo. It’s very wet. It’s like drawing with colored creams. But I like it! This could be really the goal of all the practicing, and learning. Can’t wait to be confident in this.
Second day this year. This week there was some kind of a drawing competition for college kids in the drawing school, so I couldn’t always find a place. But today I’ve been there very early, so I could find a nice free tripod. I have to stop myself jumping into the rendering too early. I should take my time, understand the shapes and start to render only if everything is in place. I really enjoy working with chalk.
Happy New Year. From today I am a proud student in Ms Mester drawing school. I will be there from every Monday to Friday. Monday painting, Thuesday portrait, Wednesday anatomy, Thursday and Friday is naked people drawing. I have bought lots of huge papers, an eraser, and got some good chalk for Christmas. So this was day zero:

Ok, sorry for not updating, life is a bit complicated… The school is closing down… so I am looking for a new one. Today I have tried this place called MS Mester
The tutor is an egoist, but I can handle it, well I hope. He looks like an experienced teacher. The students level is very high, which is a good sign, and they all use chalk. CHALK MATE!!!! So maybe I will change to chalk to, they said the tutor prefer chalk. CHALK MATE!!!!
I will see. It’s very close to my place and that’s good.
This is a portrait from last week, the same hunchback guy again. I will have to upload the rest of my stuff, I am so lazy…. 
Today was a very productive day. Mostly 10 min long sketches, and few 2 min long ones. It was so good, an I am so tired
